Hello!

As you all already probably know, there are talks of merging our guild (what's left of it anyway), with another guild in a similar situation. From what we know so far, the details are as follows:

Important: Certain things in this post are still subject to change as more information from Core of Insight reps comes to light.

What guild are we merging with?

Core of Insight.

How will the merge happen?

We will be joining Core of Insight as they are the more established guild.

What does this change for us?

Joining with Core of Insight we'll be needing to swap one of our raid days around. We're going to be moving our Sunday raids to Wednesdays, and our raid times from 20.30 - 24.00 to 20.00 - 23.30.

Also we need people to realize that showing up 30 minutes before the raid to announce an absence or anything like that will probably not be tolerated.

What happens to Round Two?

One of Justin's characters will be staying as GM in Round Two and you are welcome to keep your alts in the guild.

The amount of gold in the guild bank will be split up evenly between the members who have been actively participating in raids.

When will we be merging?

Probably next raid lockout (22.04.2015).

Who will be merging?

Everyone from the core raid group who has been present and dedicated to the team will be considered. Info on trials is still pending.

From the following people we would like some kind of confirmation that they feel like this is a good idea and they're up for the new schedule.

Riggan - Confirmed
Grethel - Confirmed
Holrizera - Confirmed
Ravenos - Confirmed
Kuju - Confirmed
Tauur - Confirmed
Yniq - Confirmed
Malzo - Confirmed
Ladizi - Not Joining
Crytonitia - Confirmed
Purplz - Confirmed

The people who are NOT going to be joining us, as a direct result of the conditions above, are:

Fakeit - Lack of initiative to go further than the easiest accessible info to improve himself.

Lisarina - Attendance and failure to give proper notice when planning to be absent.

Gogrosh - Has already left the guild due to issues with his attitude and his recent post regarding farm raids.

As I've informed you about earlier, I will not be able to raid wednesdays. I do want to join though. Currently I don't see this as a problem because Wednesdays are farm (I guess?), so I hope that works out.

Another issue though is my exams... If need be I can step down, and apply to the guild after exams are over, so you/they have a more stable roster.

I don't think that'll be that big of an issue tbh, as heroics are flex anyway. It'll depend on how the mythic roster is composed tho.

As far as i know Og, he didnt have a problem with his attitude towards the guild in the first place.
He actually stayed calm for a very very long time, back when he was my raidleader, he would have rounded up most people of the raid long long ago..twice.
His...lets name is negativity... only developed over time, because it always have been the same people holding up the raid, doing the same mistakes over and over again and not improving at all.
Also, when i am looking into the logs right now... things still havent changed.

That may be the case indeed. In the most general sense of the phrase, he was just a "fish out of water". His level of expertise is one of Hard Core raiding. In a sense he's been overqualified which brings with it an equal level of frustration. For at least half the time he was in Round Two, he was very bored and frustrated (that reflects on his post about farm night raiding). I think this'll be a welcome change of pace for him.

From my (and the guilds) PoV tho, I received a silly amount of complaints about him, which forced our hand. And while he may indeed not have had a problem with his attitude towards the guild, we did have a problem with his attitude towards the guild (reflected in his post about farm night raiding).

People who have told us they're taking a "break" from raiding were obviously not included, and popping back in as soon as the gears start turning again seems a bit opportunistic.

It seems opportunistic ? A break does not mean you are not returning at some point.
But please do elaborate so i know if i should find me another guild when ready again

Yes, you probably should. You declined every raid on the calendar, you can't expect us to make arrangements for your possible return, especially seeing as you clearly had no plans to come back for at least a couple more weeks. This merger is for our ACTIVE raiders.

I will not join the new guild because i dont have the time at the moment and the people that got me to play and raid again are now all gone from the guild so my motivation to continue to raid is not that big anymore.

Good luck to you guys.

As I stated in my application my working schedule during the summer is somewhat more varying and there's also work due to the situation at my workplace. I haven't heard anything regarding this afterwards so I kind of presumed and hoped you were okay with it. But wednesdays are actually a bit better than Sundays, so that's not a problem. If you guys, and the core of insight people are fine with this then I'm interested in joining for this merge :)

All right. All in all we'll be 10 people joining. The list of people is found in the first post of this thread.

How do we make the transition smoothly?

Tomorrow evening, at our usual raid time, we'll start moving people over to CoI, you don't have to be on at exactly 20.30, just somewhere between 20.00 and 0.00. During that time either me, Grethel or Holri will probably be around to help move you into Core of Insight.

Of course if you can't make it at this time that will be OK, if nothing else you can show up for the raid at 20.00 on Wednesday and get invited then.

I hope you all will feel welcome in CoI and I hope that you'll make them happy to have us. The first few days might feel a bit hectic, but things will probably settle down quite rapidly.

I'll be online tomorrow evening for the move, however I'm unavailable this Wednesday for any raiding, which is a bit of a shame.

Quite a few of us will be late or absent on Wednesday, I think it'll be fine though. They'll most likely understand that the first week or two might be a bit weird since we're not used to having raids planned on Wednesdays.
